Leading transformation consultancy, Socitm Advisory, continues its work with a large City Council in Scotland this month, which started in the Spring this year, as part of a £1.3 million contract over four years, to provide the council with advice and support for their procurement of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

As part of the programme, Socitm Advisory’s specialist consultants are helping the council to develop a business case to replace their outgoing SAP solution as it reaches the end of its support contract. The Socitm Advisory team will help the council to compile their key requirements to go to market and secure both a technical solution and an implementation partner, alongside preparing their approach for implementation.

This work follows on from a period of discovery work conducted last year, in which Socitm Advisory helped the council to understand its options as SAP reached its end of life.

Rachel Barker, Executive Director of Service Excellence comments, “We are delighted to be continuing our work with the Council team, and we are excited about the benefits the programme will bring for council staff and citizens of the City.

“We’re bringing our unrivalled sector expertise to the council to enable them to identify and procure the right solution for their organisation that delivers the best value for their residents.

As part of Socitm Advisory’s social value commitment, the consultancy will raise funds for and volunteer with charitable organisations local to the council over the next four years. They will also provide a package of business mentoring to a local small business or community organisation.

Tony Summers, CEO at Socitm Advisory said, “Social purpose is at the core of our business. Our consultants are truly invested in delivering programmes that serve to improve the delivery of public services, and support the communities that they serve. We’re delighted to be supporting the Council with its latest initiative to support local charities.”
